Le Tote is hiring a Quality Assurance Lead for our Distribution Center in Stockton, CA. The QA Lead provides technical leadership in the Quality Department supporting the Distribution Center to ensure that customer requirements are met in a timely basis and consistent with applicable SOPs. The Quality Lead is responsible for making decisions regarding equipment and supply usage, and makes necessary adjustments; ensures production is consistent with schedule; monitors operations including staffing, labor, and production metrics to ensure production goals are met.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all day-to-day Quality operations and activities for the facility.

  • Manages schedule of Quality Associates to provide hours of coverage necessary to support operations,overseeing the work of associates and participating in performance review process.

  • Provides Quality expertise, assuring that policies and procedures are kept up to date and are consistently applied within the organization.

  • Coordinates all quality auditing and self-inspection activities that monitor application of SOP’s, policies, and procedures. Develops, tracks and implements corrective actions as necessary.

  • Participates in Customer Feedback process, directing investigation and implementation of corrective action plans. Coordinates customer communications with applicable groups.

  • Directs all employee training with regards to SOPs, policies, and procedures.

  • In coordination with Quality Manager, responsible for setting annual Quality improvement goals and metrics of performance. Maintains quality metrics, routinely reports on Quality performance to the entire facility.

  • Monitor hourly performance statistics for each employee and work with department manager to provide adequate coaching and motivation to drive performance.

  • Manages employee engagement and work ethic.

  • Orients new employees to Le Tote and OSHA safety policies and requirements.

  • Perform all tasks necessary in the absence of associates or when work load requires.

  • Makes employee work assignments to safely and consistently operate with production schedule.

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the plant and maintains cleanliness of working area.

  • Immediately advise management of injuries, accidents or incidents.

  • Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures, strict adherence to all Le Tote and OSHA safety policies.

  • Promotes Le Tote vision, principles and the desired culture by developing the skills and leadership competencies of staff, and by creating a working environment that fosters motivation.

  • Has consistent and regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Performs other duties as required and directed.
  • Helping to make final decisions on damaging or passing product (when QC associates have questions).
  • Auditing racks regularly and keeping audit spreadsheet updated.
  • Reporting to Management about styles that have major or questionable issues.
  • Keeping track of supplies and ordering supplies needed for QC before they run out.
  • Keeping lines of communication open with other department leads about inter-departmental issues or roadblocks, and solving accordingly.
  • Working with Manager of QA on special projects regarding quality (includes helping with directed QC and updates for dept.)

  • May be required to stand for 20 percent of shift and walk around for 80 percent of shift.

  • The employee may be required to regularly lift/move containers/boxes weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. in a repetitive motion.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test. Knowledge / Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED, preferred.

  • At least two years’ experience with supervising others in a manufacturing/distribution setting. Ability to lead shift to fulfill daily production requirements.

  • Must have knowledge of all jobs in production.

  • Must have demonstrated the ability to learn to perform the duties of the position within a reasonable period of time.

  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
