Legend Biotech entered into a global collaboration agreement with Janssen Biotech, Inc. to develop, manufacture and commercialize ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel). Through our strategic partnership, we look to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues with the responsibility to provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues to management.
  • Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations when required to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Work with the senior management and legal advisors to develop corporate HR policies, strategies, and practices to align with organizational objectives.
  • Consult and support different business team leaders in the development and implementation of strategies that will enable the organization to thrive through periods of change
  • Provide performance management guidance with responsibilities in, but not limited to, coaching, counseling, and mentoring managers in career development, disciplinary actions, and HR policies and practice
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the rest of the HR Department to develop HR-related solutions, programs and policies. 
  • Work with the Training & Development team to identify training needs. Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team in full cycle recruitment. Collaborate with the business leaders to execute recruitment strategy, grow talent and technical capability pipelines for the business.
  • Maintain and update HR related documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms
  • As part of the corporation-wide HR leadership team, participate in discussion, evaluation and execution of corporation-wide HR initiatives
  • First-Line advisor for payroll or Legal questions for the employees

Key Capabilities, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree highly preferred
  • 5+ years of HR related experiences required; prior experience working in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred
  • Background in social law, experience with different legal work regimes , preparing/writing collective labor agreements is a plus
  • People- and results-oriented, convert needs into concrete actions
  • Ability to influence with courageous authenticity and build trust with individuals at all levels within the organization, challenging the status quo when appropriate, and manage conflict
  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple business, teams and key leadership areas in a fast-paced environment
  • You show empathy, assertiveness and are able to give feedback in a constructive way with the necessary discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to work in a changing environment and help lead others through the phases of change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch & English
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skill
