Purpose of the role?

As Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you are responsible for our worldwide cloud hosting and underlying storage platforms. This is more than pro-actively monitoring and supporting the systems; we also aim to find new solutions and then test, build and maintain them.

We are currently implementing the Microsoft Azure platform, so you will influence this project from the very beginning!

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, Maintain and Support our Azure infrastructure
  • 3rd line incident support
  • To ensure the availability of virtualization services (HyperV/Azure/VMWare)
  • Work in alignment with the existing processes for Release-, Incident- and Problem Management
  • Report on key performance indicators for storage platforms (performance, availability, capacity utilization)
  • Identify and propose solutions for improvements or structural problems

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of HyperV / Azure
  • Proven experience with PowerShell
  • MCSE 2012 (Server Infrastructure or Private Cloud) certification is required
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: VMWare, Linux, Networking or Storage (NetApp), would be highly beneficial
  • Drive to improve quality and prevent incidents
  • Good command of written and spoken English
