LearnUpon is looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. This is a hybrid role, working 1-2 days per week in the Dublin office.

What will I be doing?

As a People Partner reporting to the Head of People, you’ll be the main point of contact for Senior Leaders and Managers across our Go-To-Market departments (Sales, Business Development, Customer Experience, Marketing). You’ll support office-based and remote teams, work across multiple time zones and manage competing priorities, all while maintaining discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement at all times. In addition, you’ll:

  • Build trust-based relationships with our leaders, taking the time to learn about their business strategy and associated people-related needs
  • Provide support to managers and leaders to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, engagement, and retention
  • Identify people issues and trends within the business and work with key stakeholders to formulate and implement solutions
  • Provide Employee Relations support, thought partnership, and coaching for leaders and managers
  • Partner with and advise leaders and managers on processes such as performance management, compensation and succession planning
  • Monitor and ensure the effective use of data to report key metrics and trends for the departments you support
  • Collaborate with other members of the People team to design and implement employee processes and experiences
  • Regularly seek out opportunities for improvement in all People processes
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of legal requirements for our core markets, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance across all our locations
  • Help establish a people manager community for sharing and helping managers learn from one another through both formal and informal activities

What skills do I need?    

You have exceptional listening skills, feel energized helping others and have the ability to relate to, influence, and coach Luppers of all levels in the organisation. You exercise discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement at all times. In addition, you’ll have:                 

  • 3+ years strong HR Business Partner experience in a fast moving and high growth environment,  ideally in the technical / software industry
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within the Irish employment law framework
  • At least 1 year’s experience supporting US employees and managers
  • Demonstrated experience in various HR functional areas, especially organisational development, change management, and employee relations
  • A proven track record of successfully navigating complex and sensitive employee matters
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a HR related field (or CIPD Level 7 equivalent)
  • Excellent project management skills and a highly collaborative nature
  • A strong mindset for continuous improvement and exceeding internal customer expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail

Not required but considered a big plus

  • Prior experience with Serbian employment legislation
  • Experience using GSuite and HR/Cloud tools (BambooHR, Lattice, Confluence)
  • Experience in a global organization, preferably with a mix of experience in fast-growing technology companies and more established organizations

What is the Hiring Process?

Applicants for the position can expect the following hiring process:

  • Qualified applicants will be invited to an initial screening call with the Head of People
  • If successful at the initial round, candidates will then be invited to a practical interview with the Head of People and other members of the People Team
  • Finally, candidates will have a short interview with a member of our C-Suite team
  • Successful candidates will be contacted with an offer to join our team
