LearnUpon is looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.

As our first Legal Assistant, you will join our high energy Legal Department who supports everything legal across the business.  You will have a crucial role of managing day to day tasks including owning the contract management process for the company, managing internal and external requests, partnering with other departments on special projects, and gaining industry experience to help LearnUpon scale. 

What will I be doing?

  • Manage internal contracts and other requests through the legal request systems.  
  • Facilitate training to new hires of LearnUpon on the contracts management process.
  • Work cross-functionally to support teams and to provide guidance on commonly requested contractual and legal questions.
  • Maintain a FAQ of standard questions (Playbook) to support teams in discussions with Prospects, Customers, and Vendors. 
  • Support the business on legal reviews for Request for Proposal (RFPs), security questionnaires, and a variety of other customer-driven requests.
  • Maintain all document templates and facilitate any changes including to the online legal documentation. 
  • Compile, analyze, and maintain data related to LearnUpon’s contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, and compliance to report to management.
  • Develop, maintain and simplify internal processes and LearnUpon’s internal contract structure.
  • Support any legal projects required in the company such as implementing a CMS (Contract Management System) in 2023. 
  • Provide ad hoc support as needed on legal requests including to the leadership team.
  • Manage LearnUpon’s Intellectual Property licenses such as Trademarks. 
  • Research and understand future Legislation that may impact LearnUpon.

What skills do I need?                                                                               

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a legal team. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail especially when reviewing documentation. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks at once. 
  • Proven experience developing and implementing processes. 
  • Ability to think critically about a situation and present options to move forward. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritise deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Proven experience delivering on initiatives and presenting findings to stakeholders. 
  • Excellent IT skills required (especially in Microsoft Word). 
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and take initiative and ownership.
  • Friendly and supportive to both our customers and colleagues whilst maintaining a fun working atmosphere!

Not required but considered a plus

  • Previous Legal/Contract management experience.
  • An understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service) and software licensing. 
  • Experience working with a CMS (Contract Management System) .
  • Intellectual Property Experience such as Trademarks and Open-Source software.
