LearnUpon is looking for a Senior People Partner to join our team in the Philadelphia office (remote options too for New York, Utah, Maine, Texas and Arizona).

Our Operations team is vital to our Company and is responsible for keeping the core operations of the company running smoothly. You will be part of a team who hires amazing employees into LearnUpon, ensures the offices are running successfully for all teams, and grows and strengthens the great company culture that we have in LearnUpon.


What will I be doing?

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to managers and LearnUpon’s senior Leadership team and as an advocate and resource for LearnUpon employees.
  • Build trust-based relationships with senior leaders and managers, understand their business strategy and associated people needs and consult on people decisions.
  • Provide high-touch support to management and Luppers to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, engagement, and retention.
  • Identify people issues and trends within the business and work with key stakeholders to formulate and implement solutions.
  • Provide Employee Relations support, thought partnership, and coaching for all employees and levels of management in the organization.
  • Partner with and advise leaders and managers on all things people-related, such as performance management, coaching, leveling processes, workforce & succession planning and organizational development.
  • Train and coach managers through the performance review process, including how to have effective feedback conversations, facilitating career development discussions and creating a culture of real time feedback.
  • Monitor and ensure the effective use of data to report key metrics and trends and to create actionable data for coaching and development.
  • Collaborate with leadership team and fellow people team members to design and implement employee processes and experiences.
  • Execute programs, policies, and procedures to drive an engaged and performing organizational culture.
  • Regularly seek out opportunities for improvement in all People Operations processes including identifying and executing on automation opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of legal requirements, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance across all our locations. 
  • Help establish a people manager community for sharing and helping managers learn from one another through both formal and informal activities.


What skills do I need?                                                                                 

  • 5+ years strong People Partner experience in a fast moving and high growth environment,  ideally in the technical / software industry.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an HR related field. 
  • You put people first, have a positive attitude, and feel energized helping others.
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organisation.
  • Proven track record successfully navigating complex and sensitive employee matters.
  • You exercise discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement at all times. 
  • You have excellent project management skills and a highly collaborative nature.
  • You never stop thinking about how to make things better - a strong mindset for continuous improvement and exceeding internal customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and to constantly re-prioritize.
  • You’re comfortable supporting remote teams, working across multiple time zones.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail. 
  • You strive for the best solution not the easy one. 
  • You know how to have fun!

Not required but considered a big plus

  • Tech savvy, with experience using GSuite and HR/Cloud tools (BambooHR, Greenhouse, Lattice & Confluence)
  • Experience in a global organization, preferably with a mix of experience in fast-growing technology companies and more established organizations.
  • Experience supporting Sales & Customer Experience teams. 
  • Experience mentoring fellow team members on people partner excellence.
