Employee Experience Specialist- HR
Salary: $45,000-$50,000 yearly
Summary: Our Employee Experience Specialist is the primary point of contact for and provides critical support to candidates, hiring managers, and internal HR and business stakeholders to provide a world-class onboarding experience for newly hired employees. They are responsible for ensuring the timely execution and completion of a seamless onboarding workflow for each new employee.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the onboarding process of new employees ensuring timely execution and completion of a seamless workflow, providing a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
- Handle new hire orientations and onboarding plans in assigned area-first day paperwork, training, educating new hire on HR policies, internal procedures, benefits, regulations.
- Serves as the primary point of contact during candidates onboarding proactively communicating onboarding expectations and requirements needed prior to the candidates’ start date.
- Serve as the primary contact for candidates prior to their start dates
- Regular reporting and auditing of the onboarding data, reporting out on data.
- Communicate effectively as the liaison between supervisors, new hires, and HR department
- Complete pre-employment processing for new hires including any required forms and I-9 documentation.
- Continuously identify and implement ways to improve the onboarding experience by engaging with employees and bringing perspective on best practices
- Initiates and schedules pre-employment onboarding activities including background checks, reference checks and drug screens
- Provide guidance and support to new employees as they navigate their roles, company culture, and organizational structure.
- Collect feedback from new employees to continuously enhance the onboarding experience and address issues and concerns.
- Manages electronic new hire Onboarding system (iCims) make improvements recommendations to HR leadership.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and makes recommendations on how to improve process efficiency
- Ensure employee termination in systems is smooth and complete, follow-up via Exit Survey when necessary
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, and solid computer experience
- Self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Exhibit strong organization and follow through skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field a plus not required
- 2+ years of experience in similar HR roles.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting working on a computer.
- Most days frequently change from sitting and standing throughout the day.
