  • IT Leadership Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, including at least 5 years in systems administration or similar positions. Proven ability to lead and execute IT strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Systems Administration: Advanced expertise in managing configurations, user access, data security, and system upgrades, ensuring seamless functionality across platforms.
  • Team Management: Demonstrated success in managing IT teams, fostering professional development, and driving high performance through a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Network Security and Data Protection: Deep expertise in network security, data protection, system performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Policy Development and Compliance: Skilled in creating and implementing IT policies, including device management and network access, to ensure alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Commitment to Equity and Inclusion: Strong dedication to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion within IT operations, team interactions, and organizational culture.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with adaptability to thrive in dynamic, growth-focused environments.
  • Educational and Professional Credentials: Advanced certifications in IT and cybersecurity are required. A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is essential. Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder) and project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Nice to Have: Experience leading training sessions, capacity-building initiatives, and cross-functional projects that align IT functions with organizational goals and enhance efficiency and scalability.

Travel Requirements

This is a remote position that requires up to 15% travel

  • National travel for org retreats, programming, job related travel, donor meetings or professional development 
  • Outside of the above mentioned travel, this person will work from a home office that must be located anywhere within the U.S.

Benefits

  • Compensation: The compensation range for this position is between $104,695, with a midpoint of $136,103, and a maximum of $167,511 annually. Candidates, either newly hired or new to the role, can typically expect a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications and internal equity.
  • Benefits: 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for individual employees. Additional premium costs are covered 60% by Leading Educators for partners and dependents on medical, dental, and vision plans. 4% matching 401k plan, Flexible Spending Accounts for medical, childcare and commuter expenses, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Benefits are valued at or above $9,000 for employees.
  • Time Off: 
    • First three years of employment, full time staff accrue 22 days a year. 
    • Five additional days are accrued after the third and sixth year of employment.
    • Leading Educators also offer 16 additional paid days off for various holidays, including three floating holidays staff may use at their discretion.
