Hello Bello is looking for a highly analytical & strategic Category Analyst who is responsible for category management and consumer insights across Hello Bello’s portfolio of products within assigned key accounts and sales channels. You will conduct analysis of category performance and industry trends, provide business recommendations on assortment, pricing, promotional planning, customer experience, and vendor management.This individual is also responsible for the execution of the category strategy initiatives in support of the Director, Consumer Insight & Analytics.
Act as a category expert by collecting, scrubbing, and analyzing large sets of consumer data; identify and articulate business insights and fact-based opportunities based on the data
Partner closely with Sales to develop customer-specific presentation materials supporting brand and category development
Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis utilizing various data platforms (Nielsen, Spins, IRI, Numerator, etc.) to support sales and cross-functional teams
Act as the expert in utilizing customer-specific shopper and data platforms to best leverage information to influence decision making
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
3+ years of experience in Category Management/Data Analytics in a fast-paced Consumer Goods company
Working knowledge of secondary and syndicated data sources (Numerator, IRI, SPINS, 84.51, Nielsen, RetailLink, Shopper 360, POL, etc.) is required.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Analytics, etc.
Strong analytical skills, interpreting data, market research, and data visualization ability
Excellent problem solving skills, multi-tasking, and ability to present information and solutions
