Role Summary: 

Hello Bello is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to play an essential role for the organization as it ensures that Sales, Marketing, and Production needs are aligned to meet organizational targets for On-Time and In-Full-service levels as well as overall Inventory Valuation. As a critical member of Sales & Operations (S&OP) process, the Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for integrating and aligning long range (12-24 month) and medium range (3-6 month) demand forecasts and finished goods supply plans. The incumbent analyzes and monitors inventory levels and provides forecasts to ensure overall goals in service level, inventory investment, DC sales and purchasing revenue are achieved.

Responsibility:

  • Monitors various inventory related systems to ensure accuracy of data and updates as necessary
  • Creates, monitors and adjusts all necessary forecast fluctuations to ensure proper stock at the Distribution Centers; maintains accurate forecasts to achieve service level goals
  • Identifies inventory inaccuracies to provide effective resolutions including; closing purchase orders due to shortages, damages, long term unavailability and items no longer available due to product being discontinued
  • Contacts vendors to obtain updated information on items currently on backorder to provide the stores an accurate availability date; manage the monthly collaboration meetings with vendors
  • Reviews promotional orders, taking into account current on hand inventory and the required vendor lead times to ensure goods are received on a timely basis for distribution to all stores
  • Manages the process of ramping down inventory levels of future de-listed items
  • Analyzes sales and inventory data to determine optimum purchasing multiples and recommend highest cost-efficient purchasing strategies
  • Defines appropriate delivery dates for special events purchasing, along with multiple truckload orders, to facilitate smooth inventory flow into the Distribution Centers to meet required timelines
  • Manage inventory and supply planning parameters; identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
  • Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends
  • Address issues regarding quality and production
  • Manage monthly consensus forecast process at the SKU level demand planning module
  • Assist in the monthly capacity planning process
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Inventory team in both Canada and the US as well as other business units including Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Marketing and Finance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management, or related field; and at least three years previous related working experience in supply chain planning roles; fast scaling company experience strongly preferred
  • 5 years of experience as supply chain analyst, planner, buyer, or demand planner 
  • Must have experience in material planning and procurement, including MRP planning using ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proficiency working with spreadsheets and data analytics, along with the ability to communicate results effectively to a diverse audience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; intermediate knowledge of all other Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to multitask, working effectively on several projects simultaneously in a time sensitive environment
  • Critical thinker who has attention to detail. Adept at problem solving with incomplete or ambiguous inputs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contact
