Role Summary: 

Hello Bello is looking for a strong sales leader to join our team as a Director, Sales - Mass Channel. You will play a critical role in creating and executing a robust sales strategy to drive profitable growth across our Mass Channel, which includes retail partners such as Walmart & Target. The Director, Sales - Mass Channel will manage multiple valuable relationships within these large key accounts and will regularly monitor and ensure the attainment of all key metrics to drive profitability.

Responsibility:

  • Manage of the mass channel with primary focus being on Walmart & Target. Leverage relationships at all levels of these accounts through development/evolution of a best-in-class customer strategy and represent the needs of the customer
  • Regularly monitor and ensure the attainment of all key metrics for the mass channel, including revenue, profitability, productivity, trade planning, promotional planning, budgets, and customer service goals, with a focus on the growth that will create the necessary momentum to achieve future goals
  • Responsible for category management, account & operational analytics, and development of data and fact-based strategies derived from these insights to grow volume profitability for both customers and the business
  • Develop & evolve plans for the grocery & natural channel that integrates the customer’s merchandising strategies with the company’s business and brand strategies 
  • Consistently communicates with the leadership team to ensure they are informed of current trends, requirements, and level of competitive activity within these accounts
  • Collaborate with marketing on developing category leading programs that deliver meaningful results with retail partners
  • Recognize corporate goals and balance the need for profit versus volume; develop, contribute, and implement ideas for execution of plans that deliver the appropriate balance between these two
  • Interact daily with cross functional departments, direct & indirect reports, and other employees in a manner that reflects company values, fosters open two-way communications, and contributes to superior employee relations throughout the company

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communication, or other related field
  • 10+ years of progressive sales management experience and a proven track record of driving profitable growth in a new and emerging brand
  • 5+ years of experience expanding Mass Channels (Walmart, Target, etc.) within the consumer-packaged goods industry
  • An in-depth understanding of the key components of the sales and customer marketing functions with a background of achievement in strategic and business planning, sales and trade spend management
  • Experience leading and partnering with brokers
  • A history of leading positive change efforts that have driven organization growth
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver outstanding results from a quality of customer service, revenue, and profitability perspective
  • Outstanding leadership and partnering capabilities within a flat organization. Well-developed business and financial management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to transform data to information
