Role Summary: 

Hello Bello is looking for an ambitious, agile and tech savvy Accounting Associate to help support our Canadian operation and expansion. The role will report to the Finance Manager in Canada and will drive impact by effectively managing Accounts Receivable, being a link between revenue and supply chain, carrying out month-end processes and ad-hoc reporting. 

Responsibility:

  • Calculate and communicate monthly revenue forecast by reconciling orders received and orders shipped
  • Analyze daily shipment data and prepare customer invoices manually or through EDI
  • Record and validate customer account deductions into accounting system
  • Reduce negative impact to profitability by trying to recover customer account deductions by owning and actively engaging in vendor dispute process
  • Reconcile and apply customer payments in accounting system against existing Accounts Receivable balances
  • Carry out collections calls for outstanding accounts receivable balances and review overdue items with Account Managers
  • Prepare and review monthly shorts report with Demand Planner and Supply Chain Manager
  • Prepare weekly sales analysis report by account and Category against forecast/budget
  • Help with Cash Forecast for organization
  • Assist Finance Manager in preparing monthly financial statements and presentations for GM and corporate office in LA
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested by others

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce
  • 2+ years of general accounting experience 
  • Strong MS Excel skills and overall technical skills, able to manipulate and organize large volumes of data through PIVOT tables and utilize multiple tools such as MS Office, Google G-Suite
  • Strong accounting knowledge of GAAP and very detail oriented
  • Experience with invoicing, sales taxes and EDI Portals
  • Creative and curious, able to independently research solutions that can automate processes and is comfortable asking for guidance when needed
  • CPG experience preferred
