Role Summary: 

Hello Bello is looking for a HR Generalist that will promote an environment that emphasizes the importance of working as a team, trust, fairness, respect, and pride. The role will be based at our new and growing fulfillment and manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas. While most of the work will be focused on Waco, you will also support employees across the United States. You will work closely with our recruiter during the hiring process and will support employees during their entire journey with us. The Sr. Generalist will ensure compliance, be detail-oriented, and be comfortable engaging with people at every level of the company. You will also build a rebost onboarding program, train managers on best practices, and manage payroll. This will be the first HR professional at our Waco facility and will report to the Vice President, People who is based in California. 

Responsibility:

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state law; stay up to date with changes to the law
  • Collaborate with recruiting team to identify hiring needs, determine job specifications, develop recruitment strategy, and support the screening process
  • Use online HR systems to maximize efficiency and support on-going growth; and ensure all online and paper employee files/documents are organized and accurate
  • Design and implement an orientation program that sets employees up for success and provides a sense of community and belonging
  • Assist employees in benefits, open enrollment, and leaves of absence
  • Develop protocols and policies that promote safety; ensuring ongoing training and adherence
  • Detect and handle employee relations issues; work closely with leadership to identify and implement solutions
  • Manage and process payroll for 50+ hourly and salaried employees

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success managing HR functions including, on-boarding, compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and leaves of absence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience working with various online HR platforms and systems HR best practices and principles including applicable labor, payroll, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to facilitate interaction with all levels of management
  • Experience supporting employees working in warehouse and/or manufacturing, and office employees
  • Experience managing payroll processing for 50+ hourly and salaried employees highly preferred 
  • Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to resolve conflict in a peaceful and productive manner
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certifications preferred
