Role Summary: 

Hello Bello is looking for a strong Director, Supply Chain who will lead Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Transportation, and Procurement. You will grow a best-in-class scalable operation which will support our rapid growth. The Director, Supply chain will be responsible for forecast accuracy, inventory coverage, cost management, transportation, and supplier performance across a network of contract manufacturers and suppliers. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Finance, leading forecast demand and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

Responsibility:

  • Lead a best-in-class Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, and Transportation operation to enable successful delivery of the business plan
  • Drive cross-functional communication, collaboration and accountability in support of accurate demand planning; facilitate the S&OP process with Sales, Marketing, and Finance
  • Improve planning process and ensure system and item data integrity (such as vendor lead time, Min/Max Inventory targets) support efficient buying decisions
  • Clearly define objectives and KPIs (cost per unit, vendor fill rates, quality, contract flexibility, currency impact) and establish regular reporting and performance management process to ensure attainment of goals while continuously striving for improvement
  • Drive supplier performance through development of KPI’s and supplier management strategy to anticipate risks and minimize supply disruption
  • Identify, mitigate, and communicate key supply risks and action plans to senior leadership team as needed
  • Define strategies to reduce cost through strategic sourcing that will identify supplier alternatives that create leverage, redundancy as well as other strategies such as proximity
  • Work with Finance, and Fulfillment to plan receipt of goods in an efficient manner to ensure products are available while cost effectively managing inventory
  • Managing excess/obsolescence metrics
  • Fully utilize capabilities of ERP systems to optimize performance of supply chain
  • Work with suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure that components and finished goods satisfy specifications
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration between Supply Chain, Product Development, Finance/Accounting, and Senior Leadership identifying gaps with foresite, crafting solutions, and taking appropriate action
  • Ensure all new product launch items are delivered on time and in full, with sufficient safety stock to support ongoing forecasts
  • Work with cross functional teams to resolve obstacles including the resolution of issues with non-conforming material, specifications or vendor capacity constraints
  • Build, coach, and develop a growing team. Ensure a strong pipeline of talent to support the needs of the business; hire and retain key team members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or other related field
  • 10+ years supply chain experience with a proven record of high performance and outstanding leadership
  • 3+ years of experience leading the supply chain function at CPG company with revenue of $100+ million
  • Proven track record of leading significant savings/gross margin improvement through continuous improvement disciplines ie) negotiation, sourcing, lean, six-sigma
  • Experience with active negotiation and strong decision-making skills
  • Proven track record optimizing ERP system utilization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop planning disciplines and develop buying strategies to achieve great procurement results
  • Proven ability to work in a high growth environment with limited pre-existing systems/processes
  • Experience evaluating third party vendors’ ability to fulfill defined specifications
  • Experience developing and leading high performing, results oriented cultures driven by measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to elevate the performance of direct reports and cross-functional teams
