About the Job:

LaunchDarkly is on a mission to empower every team to launch, control and measure their software.

Using feature flags, LaunchDarkly has made software delivery faster and safer, however, we’re just getting started on our mission to help teams unlock all of the benefits of Feature Management. Over the last few years, LaunchDarkly has been steadily advancing beyond core deployment practices. Recently, we launched our experimentation offering to help customers learn and drive better outcomes. Looking forward, our mission is to empower software teams to measure the impact of any feature release using trustworthy statistical methods.

By using flags to control exactly how, when, and to whom new features are delivered, software teams gain an amazing opportunity to measure and learn about the impact of their work. With the right measurement approach, teams can quickly identify regressions in performance, giving them the ability to remediate issues or shut-down poorly performing releases to minimize the blast radius for customers. The combination of control, observability, and automation allows software teams to test ideas safely, giving them the confidence to move faster than ever. Release Impact monitoring combined with LaunchDarkly’s Feature Management can help teams do all of this!

This is an exciting new role that will own a 0-1 product offering that will change the way some of the largest companies in the world deliver software. We are looking for a talented and inspirational product leader to help sharpen our vision and bring exceptional thought leadership to this role. The ideal candidate would have first-hand experience building and/or heavily using feature management, monitoring, and data analytics tools in a large-scale production context.

We seek a strategic thinker with the ability to combine business acumen and technical know-how to drive a bold product vision. This role will have a clear, measurable impact on company revenue, and we are looking for someone excited to take that responsibility, make wise trade-offs, and drive successful outcomes for the business. We believe that every software team will benefit from this product and we want your help making that vision a reality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, planning and execution for the Release Impact Measurement product.
  • Define key success measures, with direct and indirect revenue impact, for the business' performance and drive relentless focus towards helping achieve them.
  • Partner closely with a dedicated engineering manager, designer, and data scientist to deliver a successful product.
  • Collaborate with multiple Product Delivery teams, Marketing, Customer Success, Data Science, Research, and Revenue teams to develop repeatable models for hitting revenue and customer targets.
  • Champion Release Impact internally and externally – demonstrate that LaunchDarkly is leading how teams use Release Impact to build great software.

Qualifications:

  • A history of working with cross-disciplinary teams and ensuring that Marketing, Customer Success, and Revenue are delivering your product’s potential.
  • Professional experience with feature management and/or analytics platforms, either building one or expert-level use with existing tools.
  • Direct experience leading strategy for SaaS products, and being responsible for tracking results back to the business OKRs.
  • 7+ years PM experience in an agile, cloud, continuous delivery environment, ideally having successfully brought 0-1 products to market.
  • Skills and knowledge that will establish credibility with your team. A passion for sharing that knowledge and helping to raise the bar for everyone you work with.
  • Understanding of modern software development lifecycles including common tools, processes, and bottlenecks.
  • Experience taking products from concept to launch.
  • Experience building Developer Tools with an API-first approach.
  • Working on highly-distributed, high-volume services with 24/7 operational needs."

Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
