Field Marketing Manager, East/Federal

LaunchDarkly’s Revenue Marketing team is looking for a Field Marketing Manager, East/Federal to help drive our mission to empower all teams to deliver and control their software through a growing channel of field events.

This role will join our growing Field & Events Marketing team, owning end-to-end planning and implementation of field marketing events in the East Coast/Federal space. This individual will join a high-performing, dynamic team responsible for developing roadmaps and marketing strategy to drive sales and pipeline growth within the East/Federal region. Reporting into the Revenue Marketing department, we’re looking for a skilled field marketer who's passionate about partnering with sales teams to carry out a multi-faceted plan to drive pipeline growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end planning, implementation, and measurement of field events (both virtual and in-person) that educate, engage and inspire LaunchDarkly’s target audiences (DevOps & IT professionals) in the East/Federal space to increase awareness and drive demand, adoption, and expansion.

  • Run end-to-end management (both virtual and in-person), including planning and operations from pre to post, identifying venues/software platforms, vendor management, full project management, creative branding, logistics, partner integration, onsite management, internal communication, and post-event reporting.

  • Build close partnership with Sales stakeholders and have a deep understanding of how marketing works together with sales to drive business growth.

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Partnerships, and Revenue teams to develop messaging, collateral, and CTAs for field marketing programs.

  • Partner with lifecycle marketing on pre- and post-event campaign promotion and follow up.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience of regional event marketing or event-based field marketing
    SaaS B2B experience is preferred

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Marketo (or similar marketing automation tools)

  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic and analytical capabilities

  • Effective interpersonal skills in both business and technical situations

  • Project Management: organized planning and process management, tracking, and ability to drive accountability

  • Measurement: ability to manage projects on time, on budget with controlled set of resources, and leverage operations tools to track campaign and sales activity for predictable pipeline building.

  • Comfortable traveling ~25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience running in-person, virtual, and hybrid events

  • Deep understanding of the developer ecosystem

  • Experience marketing or selling DevOps solutions.
