As a Senior IT Security Engineer, you will be a part of the Security team, driving LaunchDarkly's corporate information security practices forward. Your partnership with the Infrastructure Delivery team will support our organization's use of technology to build a world-class business. You will have responsibility for reducing IT security risk and supporting customer assurance with a bias towards automation and reducing toil.

Responsibilities:

  • Automate IT security best practices using our MDM (Jamf) and SSO (Okta) platforms
  • Operate our controls supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP security certifications
  • Evolve and evangelize our employee security policies and perform security awareness training
  • Support incident detection and response using a SIEM and tools like osquery and auditd
  • Automate risk evaluation of third-party vendors

Who you are:

  • Can demonstrate a history of impactful IT security projects
  • Experience securing a fleet of Mac OS devices
  • Experience scripting with languages like Bash or Python
  • Experience securing major SaaS services (G Suite, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Adept at evaluating security tradeoffs and managing acceptable risk
