We are currently looking for Mandarin-speaking on-call substitute teachers for our Guidepost Montessori campus in Rancho Santa Margarita. If you are interested in joining a close knit community and gaining Montessori experience, apply soon!

This position will support multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms. No formal Montessori training is needed to apply as we will provide training as part of your orientation and on-boarding. If you are only interested in working with infants, toddlers or preschoolers we have opportunities for you!  You can also choose to only work at your local school or gain more hours by being on call for all three locations!  

This is an on-call position where we will reach out to you as-needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are out sick or on vacation. This role has the potential to become a permanent part-time position in the near future!

The Substitute Teacher role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at Guidepost Montessori. Many of our substitutes ultimately transition into part-time or full-time Assistant Teachers with us when new openings become available. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 (prefer if have 12) Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units
  • Negative TB test within last 12 months
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with young children ages 0-6
  • Warm and friendly demeanor 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Native Mandarin Speaker
