Key responsibilities:

Deliver the La Senza brand P&L through profitable growth of Retail and E-Commerce operations, in North America and international. You will be the Leader of La Senza brand.  The job is based in Columbus, OH with extensive travel in Canada.

Scope:

  • La Senza Retail and E-Commerce. Direct operations in North America & international operations worldwide. 
  • Manages and grows the $100M portfolio with hundreds of employees.
  • Oversee 61 stores directly operated in Canada and 140 international franchise locations.
  • Helps oversee and improve the Lasenza.com eComm site.

Direct responsibilities: Retail Operations in Canada, La Senza International, E-com operations, Merchandizing, Marketing, Planning. 5 direct reports. 

Functional responsibilities: Finance, HR and IT business partners across the group.

Main accountabilities: 

  1. Defines and rolls out La Senza strategy.
  2. Delivers budget targets in terms of NS, OP, cash flow, and drives a culture of results, focus, and continuous improvement.
  3. Develops the store network identifying and executing new openings in line with budget, renews existing stores consistently with the agreed store design concept, coordinates all store openings and refurbishment project plans. Regularly reviews store direct profitability and proposes corrective actions to increase it. 
  4. Develops profitable E-Commerce and omni-channel sales in collaboration with the group Head of e-com.
  5. Develops the La Senza brand equity in coordination with merchandising and marketing, managing an impactful and profitable assortment. 
  6. Drives sales by implementing the best shopping experience and fosters the La Senza image in store and online. Owns customer relationship. Tracks and improves Retail KPIs.
  7. Leads and develops the La Senza teams into a world-class organization, leveraging internal best practices. Attracts the best talent; evaluates and develops the teams’ skills and customer focus in conjunction with HR, nurtures employees’ engagement. 
  8. Responsible to promote a safe Retail working environment (risk assessment, incident/accident investigation, reporting, training), in compliance with regulations.

Your profile: 

  • Master P&L ownership and deliver results consistently.
  • Strong leadership (strategic & people engagement), with track record in turn-around situations.
  • Extensive experience of vertical retailers is a must, ideally in fashion. Experience across different categories and retailers operating models is appreciated. 
  • Experience in e-com and rolling out an omni-channel strategy.
  • Outstanding knowledge of DTC KPIs and ability to drive the organization through them.
  • Mastering of retail real estate dynamics and store opening and refurbishment.
  • Demonstrating strong revenue and expense management skills whilst demonstrating exceptional negotiation, presentation, leadership, time management and organizational qualities.
  • Proven success in a similar role within Canada.
  • Demonstrated success in managing, leading and coaching teams. An experience in a matrixed organization is preferable (working collaboratively with E-commerce, IT, Finance, HR, Marketing, Supply chain).
  • French speaking is appreciated.
