The role

For LANDOR & FITCH Shanghai, a Brand Experience Design Director is

  • Champion of retail/spaces/pace environments design and provide overall creative leadership for environments and experience design related project work
  • Work closely with the insights and strategy team to develop breakthrough, creative ideas and articulate the ideas in the creative brief
  • Lead multi-skilled teams of designers, strategists, researchers, production specialists including initial briefings, day-to-day direction, storyboarding, creative review meetings
  • Lead creative presentations and orchestrate other team members to present the work
  • Monitor and circulate latest environments design-related trends information
  • Capture and document project case studies
  • Develop links with counter-part Directors in other Landor andFitch studios around the world
  • Contribute proactively to business development efforts, pitches, existing client opportunities, proposal writing and pitch presentations

What we’re looking for

  • Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Branded Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 12 years’ industry experience (Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate Design Director)
  • Extensive retail design experience in the Asia region
  • Curious and passionate about the impact of design in shaping the future
  • Proven track record in creative idea generation and development
  • Ability to think strategically with knowledge of marketing principles
  • Exceptional presentation, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to brief and manage third-party consultants and contractors
  • Fluency in English essential, Mandarin preferred but not essential
  • Leadership and management skills with ability to work with and motivate others in team
  • Must be prepared to travel when required
  • Works well across different cultures
  • Results-oriented, hands-on and self-motivated
  • Proficient in design software ideally a pairing of the following
  • Autocad, Sketch-Up & Vray, 3Dmax & Vray or Vectorworks/ Cinema 4D.
  • Well skilled in all Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word),
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent understanding of the capabilities of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design)
