*Note: This position requires presence in our San Jose Headquarters 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement end to end logistics strategies to ensure efficient movement of servers, switches, cables, and commodities from procurement to installation to decommissioning
  • Establish strategic relationships with hardware suppliers and logistics service providers to ensure on time delivery and quality of hardware to Lambda’s data centers
  • Implement systems and processes for tracking the location, status, and usage of hardware assets. Work with finance and legal teams on depreciation schedules
  • Develop sparing practices, RMA processes, and parts management policies with key suppliers. Implement vendor managed inventory (VMI), third party logistics (3PL), and other strategies to improve material availability and reduce downtime
  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes, reduce cost, and improve efficiency in hardware and cloud deployments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices related to logistics and inventory management
  • Resolve transportation, logistics systems, trade, or other operations issues in a timely manner

You

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or supply chain management, or equivalent practical experience
  • Possess proven experience in logistics management in a data center, IT hardware, or manufacturing environment
  • Hold a strong understanding of inventory management principles and their impact on financial statements
  • Are proficient with inventory management software, such as Netsuite, and PLM software, such as Agile
  • Have strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze complex logistics challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Are familiar with industry regulations and standards related to logistics, inventory management, and transportation. Experience with SOX compliance practices regarding inventory management
  • Have experience developing KPIs to track inventory usage, parts shortages, inventory spend, and other metrics

Nice to Have

  • MBA with a concentration in operations management or supply chain
  • Experience with large scale data center deployments and ODM manufacturing environments
  • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling software
  • Certification in logistics management or certified supply chain professional

Salary Range Information 

Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $135,000-$220,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
