Laird + Partners is seeking an entrepreneurial New Business Lead to develop agency-of-record and project relationships. This lead will identify, pursue and win strategic and tactical new business, and create a smooth transition for new clients into the agency.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of identifying, pursuing and winning new business opportunities. They will use their depth of understanding of client’s needs, along with a swiftly-acquired knowledge of L+P’s history, case studies, current offerings and strategic direction. The candidate will help the team strategize the best response, solution and proposal to the challenges and opportunities at hand.

Responsibilities:

  • Expand client growth in core and new categories
  • Develop a business development strategy and plan
  • Manage prospects list and prioritize account and category focuses
  • Build and expand on relationships between agency and key prospects
  • Create opportunities to pitch new accounts
  • Identify a narrative to pitch to prospective clients that is strategic in thinking and tailored to the brand
  • Assemble the right agency talent to contribute to presentation materials and responses
  • Track new business efforts, measure success and optimize approach
  • Develop new case studies and credentials with account and creative teams
  • Drive agency marketing efforts and industry presence including PR, events, conferences and award submissions

Experience:

  • 8+ years experience in business development/sales role
  • Agency experience a must
  • Passion for fashion, style and luxury industries
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Digital and content experience preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to stay highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment
