Manager, Business Development

 Laird + Partners is seeking an entrepreneurial Business Development manager to oversee our new business initiatives to meet the increasing demand for agency-of-record and project relationships. The Manager will identify, pursue and win strategic and tactical new business, and create a smooth transition for our new clients into the agency.

The right candidate will be well-connected and capable of identifying, pursuing and winning new business opportunities. S/he will be able to us his/her depth acknowledge of digital and offline marketing, along with a swiftly-acquired knowledge of agency history, case studies, current business and strategic direction. The candidate will help the team strategize the best response, solution and proposal to the challenges on hand.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a new business database with notes and past connections to prospects
  • Develop/update new sales collateral along with account and creative teams
  • Provide direct marketing to new business prospects
  • Work to build prospects/contacts through attending events and mining databases
  • Develop and maintain a prim prospect/contact list
  • Engage with companies on the prospect list
  • Build a relationship between agency and key prospects
  • Create opportunities to pitch new accounts
  • Coordinate presentation/pitch approaches¬†

Experience:

  • 4+ years experience in a similar role
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Agency experience a must
  • Passion for fashion, style and luxury industries
  • Ability to stay highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
