Vice President/Principal - LS Credit

The team is seeking an investment professional to perform impact-specific (i) due diligence on new investments, (ii) monitoring of existing investments, and (iii) implementation of strategic initiatives for a burgeoning firm. This is an opportunity to join on the ground floor of a well-capitalized asset management company.
Conduct extensive deal execution activities and due diligence on new investment opportunities as the captain of lean deal teams, including financial modeling, primary and secondary research, and other company-specific investment analysis.
Spearhead term sheet and definitive legal documentation negotiation with borrowers, with the assistance of senior deal team members and external counsel.
Manage third-party due diligence vendors, including accounting, tax, insurance, and industry advisors.
Produce detailed investment committee memoranda on investment opportunities synthesizing a proposed investment thesis, risks, and mitigants with accompanying.
Provide ongoing monitoring of assets within the firm's portfolios, including review of monthly and quarterly results and attendance of calls and meetings.
Help build a team of first-class junior investment professionals.
Assist with strategic initiatives of the Lafayette Square platform, including general firm strategy, technology adoption and implementation, and fundraising.
Experience: 5-8 Ideally, with 3-5 years private credit or equity investing experience.
Strong academic credentials - Bachelor's Degree is a must.
Mature, responsible, and entrepreneurial qualities to complement the existing.
Highly analytical mindset with the ability to analyze businesses, growth strategies, risk/return characteristics, and the impact outcomes of investment opportunities.
Clear, concise writing skills with an ability to distill complex topics.
