Unfortunately, the traditional life insurance process is unnecessarily burdensome, involving in-person meetings with agents, physical paperwork, and 6-8 weeks of waiting. What You'll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting (for both technical and non-technical roles), including creative and targeted sourcing, efficient screening and scheduling, and effective acquisition strategies
  • Partner with hiring managers to articulate key requirements and characteristics, and then draft engaging and inclusive, job descriptions
  • Contribute to designing and executing talent engagement strategies, and producing creative and compelling messaging
  • Analyze recruiting metrics to test and learn. Proactively communicate learnings and use data to drive on-going improvements
  • Identify new partnerships with outside organizations and agencies that are beneficial for growth, brand awareness, and networking
  • Keep a pulse on market trends and drive internal thought leadership on recruiting and hiring
  • Develop internal talent-acquisition best practices, including coaching and training on interviewing best practices, drafting compelling job postings, and ensuring a smooth candidate experience. Conduct internal trainings and educate on inclusiveness/unconscious bias, interview effectiveness, etc.

What You've Done

  • 5+ years working in recruiting, ideally at a start-up
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring great candidates
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including establishing recruiting best practices
  • Familiarity, experience in improving workflows, processes, efficiencies and standing up programs
  • Experience managing external relationships and partnerships

Systems

  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (we use Greenhouse), sourcing tools (LinkedIn, Top Funnel)
  • Familiarity using Mac and Google products [Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets]
  • Familiarity using Slack a plus
