The Role:

We're looking for an experienced Recruiter & People Operations person to help shape the talent strategy and support our people ops functions. We estimate roughly a 70% Recruiting/30% People Operations split. This role partners primarily with our non-technical teams, but supports the overall health of the Recruiting (and Human Resources) function.

What You'll Do:

Recruiting (70%)

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process for non-technical roles (Business Development, Marketing, G&A)
  • Support full-cycle recruitment process for some technical roles (Engineering, Data Science, Product, Design)
  • Manage team of 1 junior technical recruiter; provide mentorship, guidance, growth and development to them
  • Develop targeted hiring strategies for open roles, including experimenting with and refining creative sourcing techniques
  • Source qualified candidates, review resumes, and prescreen for your hiring partners
  • Provide coaching and training on interviewing best practices to internal hiring teams and employees
  • Analyze recruiting metrics to proactively communicate and use data to drive improvements
  • Help to establish, support, and execute diversity initiatives and other recruiting programs and goals

Human Resources (30%)

  • Administer and manage Performance Management process
  • Support and facilitate all career, learning, and development initiatives with leadership
  • Serve as contact for all employee-relations issues and concerns and provide guidance
  • Partner and serve as main liaison with our PEO (Sequoia One) to support and help administer LOA program management, compliance, etc. Act as the primary point of contact on benefit execution, payroll, employee-related initiatives, etc.
  • Optimize and manage the on- and off-boarding process
  • Facilitate and manage Employee Engagement Surveys

What You've Done:


  • 4+ years experience in Recruiting
  • Experience managing a team or person OR demonstrable experience mentoring/coaching
  • Fluency in understanding recruiting metrics and using them to storytell, problem solve, and improve
  • Experience building and managing a diverse pipeline
  • Experience conducting training on interviewing best practices

Human Resources

  • 3+ years working in (or partnering closely with) Human Resources
  • Experience in performance management, employee relations and on/off-boarding
  • Experience driving and managing people operations programs


  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (we use Greenhouse), sourcing tools (LinkedIn, Top Funnel)
  • Experience using a performance management tool (we use Reflektive)
  • Familiarity using Mac and Google products [Gmail, Google Apps
  • Familiarity using Slack a plus
