RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides on-going training, mentoring and support to clinical staff and to caregivers in the implementation of ABA principles and related behavior intervention procedures, including during observation/coaching sessions.
  • Guides coordination of care between other members of the client’s care team (medical providers, educational providers).
  • Conducts Functional Analyses (FAs) and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as permitted by funding source.
  • Delivers corporate training/assessments; provides feedback to Kyo’s Director of Training on potential enhancements to Kyo’s training program
  • Partners with consultants and/or Regional Director in managing regional talent, clinical, and/or operational needs, including, but not limited to, providing coaching and performance feedback to staff, for example,  accurate and compliant report writing, timesheet conversion.
  • Designs, delivers clinical training to Behavior Therapists (BT) and mentors w/in region, as needed, to drive BT job satisfaction and retention while increasing BTs’ clinical skills supporting their career development.
  • Spot-checks treatment plan graphs to ensure that data decisions are being made in a timely fashion, in keeping with the data-decision tree protocol.
  • Drafts and ensures dissemination of key reports/program updates as needed. 
  • Prepares agenda and facilitates team meetings, when applicable. 
  • Assists BCBA with designing treatment programs (goals, objectives, and activities) and conducting assessments.
  • Acts as the clinical and operational Role Model to junior Program Supervisors on all key operational skills, i.e., scheduling one’s own billable and nonbillable client appointments while adhering to Kyo and health insurance payor policies.
  • Checks clients’ schedules and reports errors to Kyo’s scheduling team.
  • Makes all reasonable attempts to ensure efficacious development of programs for our clients. 
  • Funding source permitted: Collaborates with all members of the child’s IEP team, models behavior intervention tactics for Kyo BTs and school district staff, tracks student progress to ensure that short-term objectives from IEP are implemented.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess a Master's degree.
  • Completion of BCBA coursework. 
  • Completion of  all requirements necessary to be eligible to sit for the BCBA exam, including hours accrual (restricted and unrestricted).
  • Two years of experience in designing and/or implementing behavior intervention services.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with children with developmental disabilities using the principles of behavior to shape learning.  
  • Intent to work in the field of autism.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and/or maintain Registered Behavior Technician certification or, where applicable, state specific ABA licensure.
  • Availability Monday through Friday from 8am -7pm.
  • Ability to pass DOJ & FBI background check and, where applicable, TB test or TB risk assessment.
  • Own reliable vehicle with proof of valid, in-state driver’s license and insurance. 
  • Willingness and ability to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination, no later than your scheduled start date.   • Preferred working knowledge of Apple iPad technology and Google Suite.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and providing training/consult to parents or staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic/mobile device functions for data collection, and use a keyboard/computer, printer, fax, copier.
  • Able to receive, analyze and act on detailed information through oral & written communication. Apply finger dexterity; good vision, hearing, oral communication & critical thinking on a regular basis.
  • Have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities.
  • Requires primarily sitting, but also standing and walking during a standard workday.
  • Driving from client to client and to leadership and various business meetings.
  • May also require occasional lifting and carrying of 50 pounds or more.
