This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days onsite in Richmond, VA.

What You’ll Do:

As a Backend Engineer you will help build an Enterprise API Platform using GraphQL Federation architecture to enhance core capabilities.
Share your knowledge of distributed microservices and full stack systems, passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, while participating in internal & external technology communities.
Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Digital Product Managers, Technical and Team Leads to deliver robust cloud-based solutions driving powerful experiences that help millions of customers achieve financial empowerment.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of professional software engineering experience using core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Rest API’s, JPA, and SQL (Internship experience does not apply)
1+ years of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)

Preferred Skills:

Master's Degree
Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
1+ years of experience in open source frameworks
1+ years of recent experience in Agile practices
