We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to work on a cutting-edge payment solution for one of the largest and most technologically forward-thinking financial institutions in the world. You will shape the journey of a production solution that bridges the world of legacy Java/J2EE/Spring Boot applications with data pipelines and features managed using Python and Spark.
You must have:
- 3+ years of experience working with both Java, Spring Boot.
- Be fluent in common software architecture, design and testing patterns
- Experience working with event-driven architecture
- Know how to work in large scale distributed systems
- Be familiar with distributed computing tools such as EMR, Kafka and Spark
- Some experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra or GraphDB
- Experience with building and consuming RESTful microservices
- Significant experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Fargate, DynamoDB, Lambdas
You ideally have:
- Some experience working with Scala and/or Python
- Mastery of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
