Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of IT systems and network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot basic network issues.
- Perform routine maintenance on servers and workstations, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide technical support to users, addressing hardware and software issues.
- Manage user accounts and permissions in LDAP.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-related issues, including system performance and application errors.
- Participate in the implementation of security measures to safeguard the organization's data.
- Document processes and procedures related to system administration tasks.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of network operations, including familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPSec/SSL VPN, and routing concepts.
- Experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of system administration tools and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash) is an advantage but not required.
- Basic understanding of information security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network security tools and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
