About us
Kontist is a Berlin, Germany-based fintech and taxtech for freelancers with about 150 employees. We are part of the bigger Ageras platform, a leading banking, accounting, and admin software provider for small businesses across Europe and the US.
The position
You will be part of a team of engineers designing, developing, and maintaining our company's core products. This role requires a solid technical background and great communication skills. You will craft software that highly improves the lives of freelancers around banking and taxes. Build something you love together with great and talented people who support you!
Your tasks:
Collaborate with CTO on architecting critical system components, from ideation to deployment
Help us with the conception, development and optimization of algorithms and applications with a focus on machine learning Identify and address performance issues
Deliver maintainable, well-tested, and bug-free code by conducting peer reviews
Come up with ideas and suggestions to improve our processes and standards
Spread your knowledge in the team
Your profile
Ideally at least 3-5 years of experience in Backend/API technologies - we use NodeJS, PostgreSQL and write things in TypeScript Strong
Frontend development skills - we build our web apps with React and our mobile apps with React Native and mainly use Redux and React Hooks
An eye for quality (automated tests, clean code, striving for improvements)
Experience with implementing REST APIs / GraphQL and CI/CD process
