Hospitality Manager      

Konrad Group is currently looking for a Hospitality Manager to manage the hospitality components of our facilities in Toronto and Vancouver. These include our offices and campuses, but have a particular focus on our coffee shop brand, Quantum Coffee. 

Quantum Coffee is a coffee shop business with locations in Toronto and Vancouver. Located within our campuses, they welcome thousands of customers per week for coffee, education and events. Quantum offers a thoughtful and curated selection of single-origin beans from some of the best coffee producers across the globe.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be primarily responsible for the operation of the Quantum Coffee shops, but will also support the hospitality operations of our office and campus facilities to plan and execute world-class customer and employee events and experiences. 

Quantum Coffee

  • Oversee all Quantum staff, including the Quantum General Manager
  • Along with the Quantum General Manager, you will oversee: 
    • Quantum staff recruitment, training, management and retention strategies
    • Staff work schedules and shift management
    • Budgeting and cost management/control
    • Negotiating and vendor contract management
    • Inventory planning and maintenance
    • Monthly coffee shop financial reporting and analysis
    • Coffee shop marketing engagements (Social media, local partnerships, pop-ups) 
    • Coffee shop Health and Safety policies and procedures

Offices and Campus

  • Coordinate with campus operations teams to plan customer events
  • Coordinate with the office operations teams to plan employee events

Successful candidates will have 

  • 5+ years of hospitality & operations experience at organizations that demand excellence
  • Good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making, a hands on approach
  • Proven ability in working independently and under pressure
  • Customer Service experience is a must, coffee shop experience is a bonus
  • Construction and contractor/vendor management experience
  • Experience of managing a team, including experience in managing shift schedules
  • Confident, self starter, with the ability to operate in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Highly process driven
  • Strong focus on driving cost efficiencies
  • You must be able to demonstrate exceptional operational excellence
