Full-time, remote

Kolide’s Mission

We help organizations practice Honest Security

Building software that secures and manages digital assets

While demonstrating empathy, respect, and care for what is most important – people

Empowering them to do the best work of their lives.

Kolide is a VC-backed remote-first startup building device management and security software for fast-growing companies that value Honest Security. With over 250 customers and a novel approach to solving security and compliance concerns, Kolide is poised to grow quickly over the next few years. To prepare, we are looking to responsibly develop our organization to help us meet our lofty goals while increasing our organization’s diverse set of skills and perspectives.

About The Job

Come and be one of our first sales executive at Kolide. Our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) sits squarely in the mid-market tier, so we need someone who knows how to rock this space. Our buyers are technically savvy and come to us with a good understanding of how Kolide works and how it should be deployed. Often what they require most from us isn’t convincing them of Kolide’s chops, it’s assisting them to convince the rest of their organization we’re a purchase worth making.

This will not be your first SaaS sales gig, or even your second so you’ll be familiar with all the requirements of the role. Such activities will include:

  • Working a pipeline of qualified leads through the buying process to close
  • Helping the lead development team with nurturing ideas and qualification support
  • Helping us run a tight Hubspot instance by keeping and logging accurate deal information
  • Collaborating with the team to think of new approaches to selling and to lead generation
  • Working with our external legal team on contract review
  • Live demos to prospects

As you’d expect, this role will report into the Sales leader who is currently our only other seller. To confirm, this is not an entry level role.

About You

We are looking for someone who’s part of a big machine and would like to come to a small place to play a bigger role. We get excited by people who challenge the status quo but aren’t looking for someone to think differently for the sake of thinking different. You’ll have a natural ability to spot opportunities to improve on things and won’t be afraid to take risks and make bets.

You’ve got to be sharp. Comfortable with numbers and have experience of running a Mid-Market sales pipeline. You need to be able to think and act independently and actively seek to take work off the plates of your colleagues, not add to it.

You are naturally curious and relentless in finding the answers you seek. While this is a role that requires operational proficiency, we’ve found in practice that people with this personality will be driven to acquire any skills needed to get to the truth.

You are a clear thinker that can easily empathize with the goals of prospects. We are not expecting you to bring contacts to the role with you and while beneficial, won’t expect you to sell where you’ve sold before unless appropriate.

We are a US based remote-first company. You can work anywhere you want in North America and Hawaii as long as your working hours maintain a 3 hour overlap with the US eastern time-zone.
