How you will make an impact

  • Kobie is quickly expanding and needs a take-charge leader who can hit the ground running and design, build, and own the Internal Audit and Compliance functions.
  • The right candidate will use your experience in Internal and External audits to review current policies, processes, and procedures (PPP), identify gaps, and independently develop, socialize, and gain buy-in for your solutions to improve and streamline our compliance efforts and PPP.
  • As the SME of privacy, audit, and compliance, drive the design and alignment of processes and work across the organization to elicit buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Build relationships across the organization to enable consensus building, process shaping, and negotiations with key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Research emerging privacy laws and monitor regulatory developments to ensure alignment with internal compliance procedures and the integration of new processes.
  • Translate security and compliance requirements into actionable PPPs, manage pushback, remove blockers, develop implementation plans, and adapt when needed.
  • Develop and implement additional value-added enterprise risk management initiatives that support the company's overall risk management objectives.
  • Provide frontline support to Security and Legal in the event of a breach or security incident.
  • Experience mentoring remote teams, including interns, junior and senior team members, and consultants.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience that includes:
    • 5+ years of professional experience as an Internal Auditor.
    • 5+ years managing audits (PCI, SOC, ISO, or HITRUST).
    • Documented experience managing stakeholders and mentoring teams.
    • Industry certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to identify gaps in existing policies, processes, and procedures, build consensus across multiple stakeholders, and implement solutions to fill those gaps.
  • Knowledge of US Privacy laws and PCI/SOC compliance requirements.
  • Experience with NIST 800-53, NIST Privacy Framework, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001/2 preferred.
  • Experience with Third Party Audits (PCI, SOC, HITRUST, and/or ISO).
