About the team and what we’ll build together

As part of Kobie’s HR team, you will lead all payroll and benefits operations and own ADP.  You are an organized team-player with an upbeat, take-charge personality.  This is a highly visible role, reporting directly into the Director of Human Resources.   

 

How you will make an impact   

Your Day to Day:  

Payroll Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for timely and efficient processing of company-wide, nationwide payroll. 
  • Makes recommendations on policy and process modifications as appropriate. 
  • Ensures compliance and maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state policies and taxes. 
  • Facilitates management and teammate understanding of payroll procedures. 
  • Oversees the issuance of pay and managing of direct deposits. 
  • Processes benefits withholding, payroll deductions, garnishments, and levies. 
  • FSA/HSA/DCRA, submitting weekly reports to the third-party administrator. 
  • Oversees preparation of bi-weekly 401k reports for transmittal to company’s 401k provider. 
  • Prepares bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for review and as requested by Finance & Accounting. 
  • Conducts timely reconciliations. 
  • Prepares and leads company through end-of-year payroll processes. 
  • Helps manage Time & Attendance for Contact Center teammates. 
  • Maintains and organizes accurate payroll records and assist auditors during reviews and audits. 
  • Administers the company’s Paid Time Off policies and processes, in compliance with local, state and federal laws. 
  • Works on special projects as assigned and cross trains as necessary, specifically around taxes.  

Benefits Responsibilities: 

  • Accurately prepares, documents, and administers the company benefits programs. 
  • Facilitates annual enrollment and assist teammates with the process. 
  • Works with benefits broker to communicate any benefit plan changes. 
  • Answers questions from teammates throughout the year regarding coverage. 
  • Reviews billing invoices to determine accuracy of information. 
  • Assists teammates with 401k enrollment, withdrawals, and loans. 
  • Monitors 401(k) plan and provide reports for plan compliance at year end. 
  • Assures compliance with benefits plans including distributing necessary reports to teammates. 
  • Administers carrier connections between carriers and HRIS.  
  • Responsible for administering LOA processes such as FMLA, ADA and worker’s compensation leaves.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of city, state, and federal legislation affecting benefits; understands and follows applicable requirements.
  • Organizes and maintains educational resources for teammates.

 

What you need to be successful

  • ADP Workforce Now experience, including Time & Attendance. 
  • 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience (exempt and non-exempt) including but not limited to: payroll taxes, W-2, ACA as well as other year-end processing, and legal and accounting guidelines. 
  • Knowledge of compliance issues concerning Payroll, Human Resources, and Benefits. 
  • Has good attention to detail, time management, organizational, math, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Operates inside of change management.
  • Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic. 
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Confidentiality and integrity.
