As a Senior Manager at Kobalt Music, you will help shape the organisation and have real impact on the future of music.You'll be an influencer who can, with the backing of senior management, develop a security-focused culture with the appropriate mindset and skills. While not being hands-on yourself, you will be up to date with security and technology and be able to initiate, grow and manage a small team of engineers and security specialists.
Providing guidance and carrying out applied research on emerging technologies and cutting-edge solutions such as secure, tamper-proof ways of moving money via payments tokens, public stores of distributed copyright information as well as research on blockchains.
This role has a large amount of autonomy to plan, implement and drive security initiatives. This is an opportunity to have significant impact on a fast-moving organisation at an important stage in its growth.
As Senior Manager of Security at Kobalt Music, you will establish and encourage a security-aware mindset across the organisation.While leading and supporting the planning and implementation of security initiatives, and create a road map for these.
Identifying and analyse security risks to Kobalt. Working with business stakeholders as well as technology to ensure appropriate priority and support is given to security initiatives. You'll initiate, grow and manage a small team of security engineers and specialists.
You’ll provide training and guidance on security best practice to engineers. Enabling development to “shift left” and enable security early in their CI\CD process. Arranging, coordinate and set guidance on test tools, standards, automated security testing and third-party security testing.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO US
- Extensive security and technology background and experience
- Experience of solving security challenges at scale
- A track record of planning and successfully implementing security initiatives
- Ability to use own initiative to build a new team from the group up and identify areas of focus.
- Experience leading a team or teams a swell as guiding and working with engineers
- Persuader and influencer at all levels, with the ability to drive change.
- Security qualifications - e.g. CISP, CAP, SSCP
- Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
- Up to date with trends, risk, tools. Able to research and analyse new security technologies or ideas, and the security implications of new technologies, and apply these findings to engineering projects.
