The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, is a key member on the finance team and will help to implement systems and processes needed to scale during a period of strong growth across all aspects of the business. The position reports to the Director, FP&A and works closely with the SVP, Finance, CFO and Controllership team and has exposure to all operational aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for creating and maintaining complex financial models to support the budgeting, forecasting and expansion of Known
  • Collaborate with the Controllership team on the preparation of all monthly financial statements and quarterly reporting, including, revenue milestones
  • Reconciliation and investigate month over month variance analysis of forecast to actual results
  • Work with different business partners around the company to understand their roadmaps as well as gain insight and knowledge that could affect forecasts and manage pacing to budget
  • Have data analytic discussions in business review meetings with cross-functional business stakeholders, senior management, and business managers
  • Complete ad hoc financial modeling and analyses, looking for new ways to analyze the business and drive productivity
  • Prepare monthly sales pipeline report and monthly revenue reports by customer
  • Assist with headcount planning and tracking for 400+ employees
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, including monthly financial/operational reviews, board decks, annual budget, estimates and long-range plans
  • Establish KPIs and reporting to appropriately assess and assist with the allocation of capital and resources to drive highest ROI
  • Utilize Netsuite to automate processes and reporting

Who You Are

  • BS / BA degree, recent MBA or graduate degree is a plus
  • At least [3] years of finance / accounting or related business experience, investment banking experience a plus (technology or media company experience preferred)
  • Deep financial modeling expertise with a knowledge of accounting, corporate finance and US GAAP and experience in preparing complex financial models
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle Netsuite, SAP or other financial systems
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Must be able to synthesize and manipulate copious amounts of raw data into clear and concise reports and analysis.
  • Experience preparing board and executive level strategic, operational, and financial presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of finance, operations and senior management
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Very interested in cross-departmental collaboration
  • Acute attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
  • Willingness to work as a team and take direction from various positions
