Twist & Shout Communications (a KnowBe4 company) is an award winning team that creates uniquely entertaining, highly engaging security awareness films and learning content. The T&S team is looking to hire a Writer/Instructional Designer who is responsible for providing content for both production and marketing purposes, developing creative storylines and bringing stories to life through script/storyboard writing. This position will also help write quizzes, knowledge checks, as well as games that can be included in learning assets to support the security awareness and compliance culture.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the Twist & Shout team to develop storyline and series ideas to be suitable for production, including writing or adapting a story into treatments and scripts, conceptualizing games and training content, and conducting research into particular locations, occupations, or ideas.
- Be abreast of the latest learning science and technology as it applies to highly engaging learning activities.
- Conform to and abide by standards set for by KnowBe4 executive leadership and Quality Assurance (Q/A) department
- Review writers’ work and provide instruction and direction regarding changes, additions, and corrections.
- Work with producers and editors to rewrite, combine, and polish draft scripts, ensure all script notes are addressed, and prepare scripts for production.
- Draft clear marketing content to promote Twist & Shout content
- Research industry awards and enter Twist & Shout content.
- Generate creative ideas and storyline concepts of the highest quality consistent with Twist & Shout standards
- Assist in project management and time tracking.
- Take an active role in creating and supporting content that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive as outlined in the KnowBe4 DEI statement.
- Ensure content is Web Content Accessible Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) compliant so that our content is accessible to all users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Content Production or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in content creation (specifically for marketing, social media, and video content).
- Writing and language skills for public consumption
- Familiarity with the use of social media platforms in a corporate environment.
- Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
- Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communications
