The HR Manager (DACH) is responsible for shaping and driving the strategic HR initiatives for our DACH office, directly liaising and collaborating with our global HR team. This includes a wide variety of tasks such as guidance, coaching and thought leadership for our local leaders and employees, overseeing and streamlining HR operations processes incl. preparatory payroll and workplace security, implementing and maintaining global policies and procedures on a local level, handling of Employee Relation cases, and contributing to our engaging and dynamic workplace culture. This role will report into the Snr. Director HR – Europe/Africa/Brazil and is a key role in growing our DACH office while ensuring employee engagement and success.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an HR business partner, providing effective and strategic HR advice and coaching to regional leaders
- Oversee the HR administration and operations for the DACH office in coordination with the HR Operations Specialist
- Identify and handle employee relations cases decisively and while maintaining the highest level of integrity.
- Drive and contribute to a dynamic corporate culture within the DACH region by promoting the company's values, mission, and vision in close alignment with the HR Operations Specialist
- Collaborate with our payroll team on the monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy of data and adherence to local standards and laws
- Assist in drafting the organization's HR policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented and adhered to locally.
- Refine and enhance local HR processes, contributing to the automation efforts within our HRIS
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations on all aspects, including workplace safety
- Work on projects to streamline and enhance HR processes and initiatives on a local and international level
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management, or other relevant fields
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in HR functions with increasing levels of responsibility and subject matter expertise
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills
- Previous experience as a strategic HR Business Partner, as defined by this job description, is a very strong asset
- Extensive experience in client facing HR roles across key HR services and products, i.e. understanding our business clients needs and how they consume these services
- Demonstrated ability to influence and develop strong cross-functional working relationships across HR and our business clients, in a balanced manner
- Effectively partnering with the International HR Business Partners, to ensure that the strategy and culture of the respective client groups in HQ have consistency in global locations, i.e. with an 80% global, 20% local approach
- Strong administration skills
- Excellent knowledge of German labor law as well as payroll and social security aspects
- A hands-on approach and strong service mindset
- Fluent in German and English
- A high level of confidentiality
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Willing to go the extra mile
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience with Workday is a plus
