Role overview:

The Associate, Email Marketing will play a crucial role in creating, implementing, and optimizing email campaigns to drive engagement, retention, and conversion. They should have a solid understanding of email marketing best practices, strong analytical skills, and a creative mindset to develop compelling content that resonates with our audience. They will use their strategic thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and data analysis expertise to drive impact for our organization and the communities we serve.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Manage strategy, execution, and optimization of marketing across all owned channels (email and on-site) 
  • Manage email marketing calendar, scheduling, and deployment 
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize campaign effectiveness
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance and conduct robust reporting to understand campaign and channel effectiveness
  • Combine creative thinking with data-informed strategy to develop new campaign ideas and channel optimizations 
  • Collaborate with internal Creative Studio to develop high-performing creative assets 
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, Engineering, Finance, and other teams 
  • Use tools like Iterable, Asana, Figma, and Google Workspace
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in email marketing to continuously improve campaign performance 
  • Have an understanding of CAN-SPAM and other regulatory requirements for email marketing to ensure deliverability and compliance

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of email marketing experience with a proven track record in driving customer engagement and growth 
  • Experience using an ESP like Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo, etc. 
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, list growth, deliverability, and optimization 
  • Strong customer advocate 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and innovatively 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Alignment with Kiva’s mission of improving financial access for all
