POSITION SUMMARY

In pursuit of excellence, we eagerly invite a motivated and creative Senior Research Associate II, Biology, to join our dynamic discovery biology team. As a vital member of the team, this individual will be responsible for conceiving and executing diverse bioanalytical experiments and assay development, playing a crucial role in supporting Kisbee’s key preclinical PK/PD/biomarker studies and clinical trials. This position offers a potential opportunity to develop in vivo skills and gain exposure to animal handling at the hired employee’s discretion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently design, execute and refine bioanalytical assays as required for specific research projects. 
  • Lead biological sample inventory, collaborate with multiple teams, and conduct routine and non-routine processing of animal tissues for various downstream assays. 
  • Analyze and report experimental data in a timely manner and present them to project teams. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of experiments in electronic laboratory notebooks.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred BA/BS/MS in biological sciences with 4-6+ years of biotech / pharma industry experience. 
  • Substantial hands-on experience in a variety of bioanalytical skills: ELISA, western blot, tissue homogenization, BCA assay, RT-PCR, lipid extractions with strong capabilities for assay development and troubleshooting. 
  • Prior experience in the neuroscience area and/or lipid biology is a plus. 
  • Interest in developing hands-on in vivo skills is a plus, but not required for success in this position. 
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Excel and Graphpad is desired.
