POSITION SUMMARY
In pursuit of excellence, we eagerly invite a motivated and creative Research Associate II, Biochemistry with training and/or experience in protein biochemistry or bioengineering to join the Research and Development, Technical Operations team at Kisbee Therapeutics. In this role you will be an instrumental part of a team building out processes required for neurodegeneration therapeutics. The primary responsibilities will be to support the development of novel lipoprotein therapeutics through drug product process development and formulation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independent execution of experiments and analytical procedures including biochemical and biophysical characterization of in process samples, drug product development candidates, and in method development of these procedures.
  • Perform experiments involving formulation screening and characterization of biologics-based drug candidates.
  • Support the development of methods to create novel lipoprotein nanoparticles.
  • Data analysis and maintenance of electronic notebook
  • Operate in, train with, and support other teams in a cross-functional team structure

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred BA/BS with 1-2+ years relevant work experience (including undergraduate research), or a master’s degree in biochemistry or similar field.
  • Experience with one or more of the following basic biochemistry bench techniques: electrophoresis, protein quantitation, microplate reader assays, protein handling, sub- visible particle counting, HPLC, viscometry.
  • Knowledge of basic biophysical techniques (such as circular dichroism, SEC-MALS, SPR, DLS) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with separation techniques like preparative chromatography and/or TFF is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of protein biochemistry required (undergraduate course work acceptable)
