So, what’s the role?
Kin’s IT department is essential in supporting all aspects of our operations, and we are looking for an IT Analyst to join our team! Responsible for providing in-person and remote IT support for the organization, IT Analysts play a pivotal role in onboarding and offboarding, as well as contributing to organization-wide projects and initiatives. In a growing, fast-paced start-up environment, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams on a wide variety of projects.
A day in the life could include:
- A/V Support: Provide in-person and remote audio visual assistance for meetings and events.
- Access Auditing: Perform regular audits of our systems to confirm that access is properly assigned based on RBAC, as well as ensuring that employees were properly offboarded.
- Inventory Management: Document all physical IT assets (e.g., laptops, monitors, etc.) weekly.
- Mobile Device Management: Management of all our devices (e.g., laptops, ipads, etc.) using Kandji or NinjaRMM.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Responsible for ensuring the seamless onboarding and offboarding of employees as it relates to access and IT equipment.
- Support Triage: Monitor and route support requests and escalate to relevant stakeholders and support teams when necessary.
- In-Office Support: Provide in-person support for employees at our various locations (e.g., Chicago, St. Petersburg, etc.)
- On-call rotation and potential for working outside of normal office hours
- Operational Security: Provide frontline assistance to Kinfosec by triaging cyber security issues, and enforcing security policies throughout the organization. Also maintaining the security posture in our various locations (e.g., cameras, keycard readers, etc.
- Administration of communication and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom and others
- Owning tier 1 helpdesk requests and assisting on tier 2-3 tasks
- Collaborating with other team members and departments on projects
I’ve got the skills… but do I have the necessary ones?
- 1 - 2 years of experience in IT, with at least 1 year in a support (helpdesk) role
- Basic knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong desire to solve problems and help others
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Enthusiastic self-starter and team player
Location requirements
- This position requires the ability to work in our Chicago office on a rotational basis; potential of 1 week per month
