Business and Relationship Lead

As a Management Supervisor at KERN, you are the trusted partner to mid-level clients and internal teams. You are responsible for delivering on the vision: informing, guiding and supporting all team members to deliver great work. You anticipate your client’s needs and partner with the agency SMEs in solutions planning. You work with the senior PM’s to manage the workflow and work across the teams to lead business efficiencies. You look for opportunities to broaden our client relationships and grow the business

 

What you’ll do: (Responsibilities)

  • Own mid-level client relationships across the client organization, building trust by anticipating and exceeding client needs through delivering sound marketing solutions, CRM expertise and an in-depth understanding of the client’s business challenges, industry and competitors
  • Regularly interact and engage with clients at their client offices and with internal leads at KERN U.S. offices, including those in Los Angeles, Dallas and New York
  • Partner with clients to identify, review and analyze business challenges and objectives through review of primary and secondary research, competitive and consumer insights, business performance and changing industry landscapes
  • Partner with cross-functional agency team to lead clear briefings, help to inform business insights and oversee delivery of innovative campaigns that will drive business results
  • Provide the business expertise in internal briefings with the analytics, strategy, creative and technology teams.
  • Develop an influential role with your clients and a deep confidence in their trust in KERN’s competence as a strategic partner. Infiltrate and deepen your relationships across the client’s business.
  • Develop cross agency relationships. And become knowledgeable Omnicom services, tools and specialties.
  • Lead the client services team through all stages of development to ensure the work meets client expectations and is on strategy
  • Listen for identify new account growth opportunities and anticipate business shifts

 

 

What you’re like: (Attributes)

  • Strong strategic thinking and presentation ability with a deepening understanding of CRM
  • Understanding of utilizing data to inform and develop integrated marketing strategies and decisions, with an emphasis on CRM
  • Strong working knowledge of standard CRM marketing channels including email, SMS/MMS, display, direct mail, mobile, social, etc.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of client’s business beyond CRM/marketing
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Champion our people and our work; listen to our clients and drive what is in their best interest, inspire your team through thoughtful training and hands-on management
  • Resolves conflicts easily and quickly, reducing organization and interpersonal issues

 

  • Easily builds rapport and trust with others

 

What you’ve done: (Qualifications)

  • 4-5 years of Client Service experience in a digital agency/marketing services business that specializes in email, social, mobile, digital and print tactics
  • Successful track record of leading teams and projects and managing workflow
  • Demonstrated competence working remotely to lead client business while maintaining strong relationships
  • Proven ability to develop well-positioned and thoughtful documents and presentations
