The Director, Business Development will collaborate with key executives and department leads to inform narrative/packing of Kepler sales and marketing content across the website and other external communication outlets. You will manage RFP responses, pitch presentations, and leverage existing industry relationships to source new client pitch opportunities. This critical role requires a combination of strong strategic thinking, storytelling / selling skills, communication skills, presentation development experience, and hustle.

Candidates should have 8+ years of media and business development experience -- and the ability to inspire a team, to constantly deliver excellence, drive innovation, and tangible business impact.

What You Will Do:

  • Establish/grow relationships with media consultants to increase participation in new business RFPs and pitches
  • Manage response development to new business RFIs and RFPs
  • Manage new business pitch response development and presentations
  • Develop ongoing sales materials in response to potential client needs
  • Develop draft client service proposals
  • Develop RFI and RFP response library to accelerate response times for new inbound BD requests
  • Develop case study library to accelerate response times for new inbound BD requests
  • Lead/attend prospect intro calls and meetings, project manage follow up items

  • Ability and desire to proactively identify and kick off projects (in alignment with client and prospect needs) without explicit guidance
  • Willingness to drop down and manage behind-the-scenes details
  • Strong organizational and project management skills in a dynamic environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of advertising technology ecosystem, media buying platforms
  • Comfort with ambiguity, a desire to trailblaze
  • Ability to build relationships, work well with clients, partners, and teammates
  • Comfort operating in a small team with an entrepreneurial mindset

We aim to offer competitive direct compensation and a rich indirect compensation program that demonstrates the value we place on our employees and their wellbeing.

Total Compensation:        

  • Base Salary: $126,900 - $158,600
  • Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 15% ($19,000 - $23,800)
  • Target Total Cash: $145,900 - $182,400
