Keeley Properties an integrated real estate platform that develops, owns, and manages best-in-class properties with a tailored client experience. We are looking for a Property Accountant to join our team in St. Louis, MO.

*Flexible working schedule with 1 day of work from home

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete general ledger entries, maintain tenant ledgers and manage cash balances.
  • Prepare reports and documents for closing of property.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for each property, address any cash management or bank statement issues.
  • Prepare monthly partnership distributions.
  • Assist with Annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) and Real Estate Tax reconciliations.
  • Work with other departments for the annual budget preparation.
  • Complete budget reforecasting for each property.
  • Review accounts payable batches and invoices for property.
  • Perform full-cycle accounting transactions through the GL.
  • Prepare construction draw documents and interface with lenders, inspectors and title companies in funding and disbursement process.
  • Peer review of financial statements.
  • Advise Property Managers on accounting related matters.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of real estate/property accounting experience.
  • Property accounting experience is a plus.
  • Construction-related accounting experience is a plus.
  • Analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of issues relating to monthly close including reconciliations, posting and reviewing journal entries.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Yardi knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Must work within deadlines.
