We are looking to hire a Quality Control Technician for our Industrial Manufacturing group Cape Girardeau, MO.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Select and set up welding equipment.
Weld and fabricate metal components according to specifications and quality standards.
Test current and new welders to company standards and policies
Maintain company welder certifications and continuity logs.
Assist the pre-construction team with new bids and estimates to ensure compliance with code and specification requirements.
Perform on site quality audits to assist PMs and Superintendents in spotting issues early and lead the effort in building a healthy quality culture company wide.
Inspect welds and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Conduct routine maintenance/inspection on welding equipment and tools to maintain calibration standards.
Support projects as a subject matter expert and be a resource for problem solving.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CWI certification.
At least 5 years of experience in pipe welding and construction.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
