KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG), is the world’s leading travel search engine. With billions of queries across our platforms, we help people find their perfect flight, stay, rental car and vacation package. We’re also transforming business travel with a new corporate travel solution, KAYAK for Business.

As an employee of KAYAK, you will be part of a travel company that operates a portfolio of global metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights and HotelsCombined, among others. From start-up to industry leader, innovation is in our DNA and every employee has an opportunity to make their mark. Our focus is on building the best travel search engine to make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

What you’re in for:

As a member of the KAYAK Creative Team, you are responsible for how the brand comes to life for millions of travelers that use our site - and enticing those that don’t. As a Designer, Multimedia, you bring life to our campaigns, projects and social channels, whether through animation, design or video content. Your diverse experience helps you adapt as team needs come through, all in the pursuit of making KAYAK the travel brand people actually give a s%$& about.

What makes you unique, however, is that you don’t see AI as a threat - but as an incredibly important tool to help you get your work done. You stay up to date with how AI is impacting creative, know how to leverage tools that help you be more efficient but also fill in its creative gaps.

This is a full-time position reporting to our Senior Creative Director, ideally based out of our Stamford office (or not).

What we’re looking for:

You’re highly motivated, passionate about travel, curious and collaborative. You can work with autonomy but love a good group project. You are obsessed with design and can balance business objectives with creative insight. You’re immaculate in your process and adherence to brand guidelines, but know when to break the rules a little.

You may have worked at an advertising, production or creative agency before this, an in-house design team or maybe you spent the last few years putting out highly edited videos of your cat. Whatever made you a designer, you know the power and impact phenomenal design can have and wield it effectively. Oh… and you don’t mind the color orange.

What you’ll do here:

  • Design and animate engaging motion graphics for a variety of digital platforms, including web, social media and video.
  • Create static designs for landing pages, client pages and product that align with KAYAK’s brand identity and marketing goals.
  • Switch easily between more traditional projects and quick social turnaround timelines.
  • Edit video content to support internal and external initiatives (executive interviews, sizzle reels, partner videos).
  • Develop and present storyboards and design mocks to articulate creative concepts and visual approaches.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, social and creative teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality visual content.
  • Apply Figma for design collaboration and After Effects for animation projects.
  • Support a distributed team by crafting visuals that resonate across diverse markets and cultural contexts.
  • Work with internal communications teams to help bring our message to our employees, with quick turnarounds.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the table to improve our visual storytelling.

Please apply if:

  • Proven experience as a Multimedia Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your animation, design and video editing skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with Figma (or similar) for design and prototyping.
  • Experience working with AI tools (Runway, Mid-journey, ChatGPT).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography and color theory.
  • Ability to build original designs and concepts, as well as adapt existing assets into engaging animations.
  • Excellent communication skills, and can take direction and work collaboratively.
  • Experience in art direction and the ability to lead creative projects is a plus.

How to apply:

Please submit your resume, a link to your portfolio, and a brief cover letter explaining why you’re the flawless fit for this role. Personality encouraged.

Form CC-305

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
