About the Team

The Ads Team in KAYAK comprises four separate teams that are organized around skill sets,
with each team having a different focus area, these teams are 1. Ad Sales – Selling to our
partners direct and through media agencies , 2. Account Management – working in partnership
with the ad sales team to make sure KAYAK is delivering against our partners KPIs 3. Key
Accounts – Management of our largest advertising partnerships 4. Advertising Operations –
Making sure our campaigns are set up accurately, on time and trouble shooting any technical
issues. The teams combined are responsible for delivering KAYAKs advertising revenue goals
and driving travel ad innovation. As advertising specialists, this team have in-depth knowledge
across a breadth of topics and ensure that this knowledge is used in the best way to meet our
clients’ need.

The Account Manager, Key Advertising Accounts will own some of the largest advertising
partners in the EMEA region acting as a reliable adviser to partners to ensure KAYAK is
delivering strong performance. You will have a solid understanding of the client’s business
challenges and how we can help to achieve them utilizing KAYAK’s products.

In this role you will..

Deliver a great service – Our key advertising accounts are some of the most strategically
important accounts in EMEA. These accounts are strategically important to KAYAK both in
EMEA and globally. You will interact regularly with your partners to deepen partner relationships,
impart your knowledge and ensure a high quality of service is maintained. You will use your
commercial expertise to identify opportunities to deepen the relationship and embed the KAYAK
offering into client plans.

Drive business growth – the growth of our business depends on the increased adoption of our
products. You will understand the client benefits of all our products and, using your in-depth
knowledge of partner businesses, identify opportunities to sell partners new or expanded product

Deliver results – you will understand and deliver the key objectives for each partner you work
with. You will deliver operational excellence, enforce best practice, act as an escalation point,
and ensure that client goals are met while improving on our business performance.

Demonstrate analytic leadership – you will need to demonstrate high level analytical skills to
be able to understand KAYAK and partner performance. This knowledge will allow you to be able
to suggest well thought out optimisations to clients to achieve their business goals.

Experience and Skills
 Strong experience in an Advertising Account Manager/Key Account Manager role
 Strong analytical ability
 High attention to detail
 Self-starter and ability to work independently
 Strong relationship builder
 Excellent written and spoken communication skills
 Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel & PowerPoint
 BA/BS degree with a strong academic record
 Strong knowledge of CRM (Salesforce) and reporting (Cognos) tools a plus
