KAYAK is looking for an analytically-minded, detail-oriented team player with the drive to improve the product and user experience across all markets. As a competitive specialist, you’ll be responsible for analyzing KAYAK’s performance and providing actionable insights to enhance KAYAK’s competitiveness. You will also act as the first line of defense for technical issues and will be in charge of investigating and escalating them to the appropriate stakeholders.
The position will be based in Berlin, Germany or Kaunas, Lithuania, and will require collaboration with engineers, consumer support and commercial teams in Berlin and our other offices.
Comprehensive analysis of international markets
Identifying discrepancies and missing content and working closely with external partners and commercial teams to resolve issues
Providing insights and recommendations to improve overall competitiveness
Diagnosing technical issues and liaising with the engineering team to solve them
Enhancing relationships towards external partners
Coordination of project efforts across different teams
Excellent knowledge of Excel
Good understanding of SQL
Previous work experience in analysis (≥ 2 years) or equivalent education
Good communication skills for escalating issues
Logical and data-driven mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Travel industry background beneficial
